Soulberry makes a fine point. In subcontinental conditions it must be mighty rare for 7 down to make a ton in a test.

There is a strong argument for Dhoni to bat higher up the order an for Gagnguly's replacement to be an allrounder or a youngster blooded at 7.

Speaks a lot for the quality of Anil Kumble. Aaah he's a man I'd always love to have on my side.

Dhoni could address the issue in the forthcoming series against England. It is possible, distinctly possible.in fact if only Sehwag, Gambhir and Vijay (if Dravid sits out) let go first up. Sachin may have his own ideas too considering this could be the last series for him against England.

So, if England get threough all that and a rejuvenated Laxman, Dhoni might just pull ahead of Kumble this series.

But I doubt that...there simply isn't the time or occasion after the team is 400 up on the board, if one is looking to win the truncated series.
