He was all soft and fluffy, unlike your average snarling paceman. Now he's just weak and, like some others of the Ashes 2005 team, firmly a victim of his own hype. I'd love to know what would have happened if England failed to win the Ashes back that fateful Summer. Would Messrs. Flintoff, Vaughan, Trescothwick, Jones, Vaughan, Harmison and Vaughan have acquired a steely resolve and gone on to dominate cricket for the next three years? Or would they still be a soft as they are now? They're about as hungry as yours truly after an 3-hour all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet. With unlimited crispy aromatic duck.
