Harbhanjan Singh was enjoying Match.
Yuvraj Singh came and asked him, ” Are you relaxing”
Bhajji answered ‘” No I am Harbhajan Singh”
VRV Singh Came and asked the same Question.
Sardar answered ” No No Me Harbhajan Singh”
Third one came and asked the same question Bhajji was totally annoyed.

While walking he saw Sreesanth stretch after the Match. He went and asked him ” Are you Relaxing?”

The Sreesanth answered “Yes I am relaxing.â€

Bhajji slapped him on his face and said “Idiot, Sab tere Ko dhoond rahe hai aur tu Yahaan stretching Kar raha hai. “

There’s an interesting piece from an Indian perspective in crincinfo http://content-uk.cricinfo.com/magazine/content/current/story/347687.html – but the bit that’s stuck with me is

“It is not natural to Indian cricketers, it is not something that can be bought off the peg and worn every match-day; the Australians have perfected it ….. because it is nothing more than an extension of their daily lives.”

I must say in my stay in Aus I didn’t notice many blokes slapping each other and bursting into tears….

It’s probably Harbhajan whose behavior is more strange in “cultural context” (warning – total b.s. coming). After all, he’s a long-established bowler on the Indian team and thus within the team hierarchy is designated as a mentor figure to the younger Sreesanth. So even though this is the IPL, a slap like that conveys public contempt from a senior directed against a junior. In that context, the junior is expected to react emotionally but passively – fighting back would have serious implications, not exactly karmic, but upset the natural order of things. I know I’m making all this up and am not even Indian. .

Does the Indian team contain the most neurotic/barking or really rather strange cricketers in the world as well as the apparently coolest (Tendulkar and Dhoni)? The Aussies, with apologies to any Aussie supporters, seem to be, save for St Brett, an unpleasant gang of hooligans but I’m beginning to think I prefer them to the Indian team
