Ricky Ponting strives for coherence

“I guess we speak pretty loosely, don’t we, about looking forward to the Ashes and all that – and we are, but it’s not with both eyes. We’ve got one eye on that and one eye on what we need to get in place to make sure we’re the best team we can be for November.”

  1. if he’s got one eye on one thing and one eye on another thing maybe he’ll fall over.

and that can only be a good thing.

  2. Perhaps Ponting has independently moving eyes, like a chameleon, or this small child?

  3. He said “we”, which unless he has designs on becoming the new King Cricket when he retires means that there are at least four eyes. He has only told us about two of them, so there must be another two out there doing other things.

That’s why you always have to be careful with these Aussies.

No, you’ve got it wrong Bert.

Australians are totally one-eyed so he’s actually talking about two people.

  5. He’s going mad, I tell you.
