England v Australia

We heard that England were playing Australia yesterday, but we didn’t pay any attention.

We’re not going to bother checking, but it’s pretty safe to assume that England won handsomely. Comments to the contrary will be vigorously deleted.

Yes, you can delete something ‘vigorously’ – but only when that something is a gargantuan untruth.

To finish with here’s a photograph:

That git Hayden

Again we’re not going to check, but we’re reasonably confident that this is Matthew Hayden driving his first ball straight into the hands of the cover fielder to register his second golden duck of the tournament.

  1. Don’t look up the result, i’ll fill you in. Your openers got off to a flier. After 4 overs the aussies were looking for Mcgrath, but he was no where to be found.

When Maddy went out (great batsmen that guy big future) Kp came in at first drop and drop kicked australia all over the park with help from collingwood & freddy. They made 243.

When Australia went in that git hayden charged broad first ball tripped and was stumped. From there only Hodge provided any resisitance. All out for 124.

    Well done chaps.

If an Oz says it, it must be true.

What a wonderful world and not at all a tiring, dispiriting, predictable one.
