Choose your IPL team
We nearly went for Bangalore Royal Challengers, because they’ve got Rahul Dravid, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Misbah-ul-Haq and Dale Steyn.
We nearly went for Deccan Chargers, because they’ve got VVS Laxman, Herschelle Gibbs, Adam Gilchrist, Andrew Symonds and Shahid Afridi. We’re not a massive fan of several of those players, but the potential for stroke-making’s quite appealing.
In the end we’ve gone for Kings XI Punjab.
Kings XI Punjab is a shit name and certainly nowhere near as good as our suggestion – βThe Mohali Cricketinator 9000sβ, but what are you going to do?
We’ve gone for them mostly on the basis of their playing staff: Yuvraj Singh, Mahela Jayawardene, Brett Lee, Irfan Pathan, Ramesh Powar, Kumar Sangakkara, Ramnaresh Sarwan and, er, Sreesanth. There’s a generally agreeable bunch of players, which means they’re bound to lose. And if they do, it’ll be so much easier to support them.
We also went for Kings XI Punjab, because they play in Chandigarh and we quite liked Chandigarh when we there, in a faintly post-apocalyptic kind of way.

Kolkata Knight Riders because they’ve got the coolest name of the lot, they’re owned by the best entertainer India has, they’re captain is India’s best ever captain and u just love to hate him, they’ve got Ponting and Ishant Sharma in the same team, they even have Gayle and McCullum, they also have Shoaib Akhtar (another guy u love to hate) if allowed to play, they’ve got he best video and song thus far, and how can u not like a team with those black and gold uniforms, and Hoog LEE!!

They (Kolkata KRs, not to confused with Hull KR) have an excess of thermal energy, whilst also not having enough thermal energy. I’ve think you’ve made the right descision in picking a team that doesn’t defy the laws of physics.
The laws of physics are there for a reason.
