The best cricket games | PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii

Cricket games can be divided into two categories: action games, where you control the players; and strategy games, where you manage the team. Here is the best of each.

Best cricket action game – International Cricket 2010

See here for a full review. The game is available for PS3 and Xbox 360. A PC version is in development (and will presumably have a different name when it is eventually released). Its predecessor, Ashes Cricket 2009, was available for the PC, but was a bit flawed.

Best cricket strategy game – International Cricket Captain

International Cricket Captain is updated each year, but our review of the 2009 version is still accurate in terms of what to expect from the gameplay. It is available for the PC and older versions are available for PS2 and PSP as well.

We should also give a nod to Battrick, which is a free online cricket management game that we’ve been playing for years now.
