Blog of the month

We’re blog of the month at Simply Cricket. This comes hot on the heels of being The Wisden Cricketer’s Best Of Blogs for April.

We haven’t had so much recognition since we were in India and everyone thought we were Nasser Hussain. This recent recognition is hopefully more justified, if only because we look nothing like Nasser Hussain.

TWC’s Best Of Blogs for May is Are You A Left-Arm Chinaman, a sound and long-serving online publication of admirably scattergun content. But you knew that already.

You really are King of Cricket.

I thought the name was ironic.

    How ironic is that!

Au contraire, Chris, there are about a trillion cricket blogs out there, many of which are written by people who have adult reading and writing ages.

Are we Bangladesh Test side quality or Bangladesh under-19s quality?

    Either’s fine.

Did you notice how I put a couple of French words in there to make myself seem more cultured than I really am?

Personally, I’ve always thought that ‘about 3 and a bit’ is, ahem, ‘well ancient’ in terms of a writing age, and means that you are ‘dead good at writing’, like, and can ‘read books and stuff at the speed of Johnny Five‘.

There hasn’t been enough sycophantic, interblog love-ins round these parts. Well done on rectifying this in one simple post. Spread the love. Spread it good and thick, like Rob Key spreading butter.

Yes. I’ve seen the light. The world is flat, is orbited by the sun, and was created in 6 days.
