Sulieman Benn’s height

Category: Sulieman Benn, West Indies

With this miniature hat you are spoiling me“All right Mrs Benn. Is your Sulieman playing out today?”

That passes muster. Well done that man’s parents. We’ll go so far as to say it’s a magnificent name. See what we’ve done there?

6ft7in left-arm spinners don’t grow on trees. They ARE trees. It would be good if the TV cameras were a bit higher up when Sulieman Benn bowls, because he has a tendency to obscure the batsman with his gangling cack-handed follow-through.

At the time of publishing, Sulieman Benn had taken 1-29 off 22 overs on the first day of a Test. That’s some stingy bowling from the enormo-spinner.

We are still a bit mental about slow cookers but think we can get the meat to come out "stickier"

If Mr Benn goes on to be written up as a player of the year in a well-known cricketers’ almanac, would that by any chance be…….

    ……the Wisden of Sulieman?

I can’t think about him without imagining him going to try on his new cricket whites and unexpectedly getting diverted to some far-off fantasy land via a fancy dress shop.
